Yesterday I found an e-mail from American Airlines in my mailbox to tell me my demand was completed.
Flight AAsomething was booked for january 26th and in cost me $352 and....
And I stressed excessively o_0;
I had an inkling this was a fraudulent mail but it all seemed so real! What if someone had hacked my credit card and- Stress, I tell you. I did not open the attachment and started my investigation on the net. On the site of American Airlines they warned for this kind of mails *hesitant sigh of relief* They offered the possibility to forward the strange mail so I did that (I was not completely sure at that moment)
This morning I found a mail from the real American Airlines to confirm my suspicions. I was right not to have opened the attachment because it may have contained a virus.
I'm finally at ease. It's stupid I know, it was ever so obvious a fake but still D8
Something entirely different,
The local agent dropped by this morning to confirm I'm actually living here TT;
So this afternoon I can go have my identity card adjusted :) I'll be happy when that's done.

Hmm... I should take a look around if I can forward mine to Hotmail... Thanks for the hint! :-)

It would be splendid if Hotmail has such an option as well.
*makes ready for combat* Then we can hunt down the culprit *BB Bryan glare*
...
Or let them (Hotmail) take care of it. *nods* They have lawyers.

Date: 2012-02-03 10:06 am (UTC)I've just checked it, and I can't forward it. But I did find Hotmail saying they'd never ask for passwords and thus (what I already knew... :p) I am not to answer that mail. And I guess I can ignore it?
BTW, you have plans for the afternoon/evening? ^^
