Waiting for the sun

Remus shivered and hugged his arms tightly around his body.
He wished to see the black haired boy so very much...
He wanted the sun to rise and to shine brightly...

If only Sirius' smile could warm him, he felt so cold.
He closed his eyes in desperation, it was too cold.

He called upon the memories he had of suntanned skin,
bright red lips parted to reveal a set of perfect white teeth.
He sighed softly as he felt the chill leave his body slowly but steadily.

"Tomorrow is only 1 hour away, please hang on."

Amber eyes fluttered open in disbelief. "Si-"
He reached out to touch what he thought to be an illusion.

"Hush, you need to rest."
Sirius caught the uncertain hand and wiped off some of the blood that tainted the pale skin.
"I'll stay with you, we'll see the sun rise again"
