Such sad sad news just minutes ago, the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
I had somehow hoped she would've remained here acouple more years.
May You Rest in Peace Your Majesty.

Last night a friend of mine passed away very unexpectedly, it still feels unreal. 

She was my mother's best friend since high school and therefore I've known since the day I was born. I knew her as an extremely kind person, very generous and always there for a person in need. My earliest memories are of watching the musical 'Annie' time and again on her little television because I loved the movie that much. 

Even though I knew she wasn't entirely healthy (who is these days?), I most certainly had though other people to die long before her. My ailing Grandmother is 30 years older and much less fit then she was.
Her death truly was too early, she enjoyed life so much. 

Maybe it will get real when we say our last goodbyes to her this weekend, maybe not...
She'll always have a place in my heart.
