lhuneOH GOD, I NEED A CUP OF TEA! HOW COULD THEY START MERLIN LIKE THIS?! I MEAN- MERLIN!!!! i WANT TO HUG HIM, COVER HIM WITH BLANKETS, GIVE HIM MANY PINTS OF SCORCHING HOT TEA, ANYTHING TO BRING BACK THE WARMTH TO ARTHUR'S WIZARD *FLAILS WILDLY* PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE COME BACK! (of course I know he has to come back, how else will they complete 13 episodes of this new season of 'Merlin' but still...)
*takes a deep breath and sips her cup of tea*
Action-packed and all, I have to admit this is a very thrilling opening to the new series.
- Humour and bantering between Arthur and Merlin :D
- Percival's nearly-self-sacrimfice for the children (Awww)
and - Elyan saving his friend's life YAY
- Gwaine's insert of humour (bless the knight ^____^)
- Oh Lancelot *sighs*
- Distraught!Arthur
- Save-Arthur!Merlin (NOOOOOOOOObut at the same time definitely yes)
and much more general 'Merlin' moments.
I'm not really sure about the "Emrys will be the shadow behind you and you're doom" and whatever else she said about it... it felt a bit too much like the "two sides of the same coin". Somehow I hope this was a 1-time-only-thing :/ because I very much prefer Arthur/Merlin or Merlin/Arthur to any involvement of Morgana. I was a fan of her in the first series, the second series for a while, the third... it may have been a little too much like a U-turn for her to make. Maybe, just maybe, she'll return to a higher point on my ranking *crosses her fingers*
'Uncle' Nathaniel Parker is a little tricky to me... I'm so used to him as Lynley that I now see him as Lynley-playing-evil-uncle *sighs* BUT......... MERLIN IS BACK ON SATURDAY!!!!!!!! I even can bear with the dreaded 2-parts episode however much I dislike them, as long as the series is back *bounces-does hyper/happy dance*
Er... it seems like I'm ever so excited about 'Merlin' that I nearly forget to mention the season's final of 'Doctor Who' *fails*
It was good... actually it was great :D I'm very very happy about it. No, I'm not going to spoiler about that one ^^;
Let's say this, both episodes were fantastic.
Had it been a battle, Merlin would have won for me (Though Rory was so sweet *aww's* and The Doctor--------- I'm going to shut up *locks her mouth*)
