I.AM.WET o_0; Through and through soaked to the bone.
The first downpour caught me unawares... The sky cleared the moment I found shelter :(
The second time I felt a raindrop I hurried inside a shop and took a look at the books (yes, it was a bookshop)...
and took a second look...
and another look...
and the rain kept pouring down with no sign of it ever getting dry again.
In the end I decided to brave the rain, taking my bike I hurried home as fast as I could cycle.
(I may have ignored a few traffic laws)
I arrived home as wet as though I had been out for at least an hour instead of 5 meagre minutes.
Ironically when I fetched a towel from my room and glanced outside it wasn't raining anymore.
If only I had taken another look at the books...

Date: 2011-06-10 03:53 pm (UTC)It was raining lightly when I steped into the bank to get some cash money and after that I went to the supermarket right next to it.
When I came out and went to the garden, it had stopped raining and the sun came through every now and then.
And I was back home safely when the real downpour started. I must say, when I heard the rain falling down like that, my sympathies went out to those on their bikes. So, that would have included you... :-)
But you know .. Cycling through the rain when going home, isn't that bad, is it? ... Right, don't answer that. :p
*hugs* :-)

Date: 2011-06-10 10:23 pm (UTC)Normally I wouldn't have minded that much but my coat may be waterproof but it certainly isn't water-resistant.... or is it the other way round? o_0 Anyway, my sweater was getting wet :(
And I had library books in my not entirely water resistant/proof cycling bags. A separate plastic bag on top of them bewared them of any harm though ^____^
But really at that moment I was like "sod the red lights, I still have time to cross the road!" (I was right in that theory)

Date: 2011-06-11 05:22 am (UTC)As for the books. Books are a very good reason not to be happy with rain. They don't take it as well as we do... Glad to hear they survived though. :-)
