Couldn't resist Downton Abbey...
May. 8th, 2011 06:47 pm When in doubt, saddened by this insecurity, buy something completely unnecessary to cheer you up ^^;
It happens all over the world or so I've read, it did cheer me up anyway ^____^;
This is how I ended up ordering the 3 disk version of 'Downton Abbey' enabling me to watch the episodes even though my parent are watching telly. The disadvantage of a digital tv recorder, you're bound to that television in the living + there's only a limited space on it :/
I still have to wait about a week before the DVDs arrive but I reckon it will be worth the wait.
*is looking forward to a DA marathon with tea etc* And if I'm right there will be some deleted scenes included *giggles in delight*
*beams* something substantial I can look forward to!

I like that quote. When in doubt, saddened by this insecurity, buy something completely unnecessary to cheer you up Books and DVDs. Yeah, it does work. It does do miracles to cheer you up. :p

Date: 2011-05-09 12:21 am (UTC)Buying completely unnecessary things to cheer you up.. totally works! I haven't tried it in ages though :p and I probably won't for a while. I'm back to pretty much starving myself. Self-catering some food that we buy in the supermarket. No biscuits, too expensive, tomatoes; too expensive, meat too expensive.... I live for egg on toast with a lot of salt, cheese while it lasts (Katie has worked in a cheese factory so she has a bit of a stash) and a cooked meal (pretty basic; pasta and the cheapest tomato sauce we can find :p). Usually hostels have free food. And starting work in an apple packhouse probably will entail lots of free apples. So I won't die or anything. But god I miss the days of just randomly buying myself a nice dvd or a brownie or something :p

Oh, I hope your income will soon be better again so that you can at least buy a meal including meat etc again. Free apples are very healthy :) But you're still having fun right?
I'm suppose when I'll live on my own, whenever that will be, I won't have the money to buy random things so I'm enjoying it now while I still can ^^;
