Tarte Charlotte

Today we're celebrating the first birthday of my godchild with the rest of the family ^___^
I wanted to make her a fitting little tarte Charlotte since that's her name.

With enough for 3 apparently I had a lot of fun trying.
The first one didn't quite live up to my standards... It ended up as my breakfast this morning (and enough left for tomorrow and...)





The second one (which I only decorated this morning) was what I had in mind with the mandarin parts and colourful band.
But the one I took a chance on with fresh strawberries is my absolute favourite.



Aaah, 2 cakes for her 1st birthday instead of 1 as I had envisioned. Luckily she can't as well count yet or she would be thoroughly confused. ^^;
